The Second Annual 5k Challenge will take place on March 13th. The mission of the Challenge is to have a family focused event that incorporates the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, while providing new funds for the students at Benedictine High School and Saint Gertrude High School.

The race begins and ends at Benedictine High School and the course features the Museum District and Windsor Farms. We encourage all levels of fitness to participate and we want our alumni/alumnae to show up in force to show their support of the schools.

Entry fee is $25 per person, $60 family maxium.  We will have race t-shirts for our participants, string bags, and prizes.

We now officially "challenge" our current Cadets and Gators, and students at the local public and parochial schools to send out as many participants as they can! The school with the most participants will take home the coveted BHS/SGHS 5k Challenge Trophy!

Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I myself, and anyone entitled to act on any behalf, waive and release Benedictine High School, Saint Gertrude High School, the Benedictine Society of Virginia, the City of Richmond, and all sponsors, their representatives and successors, officers, agents and employees, from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recording or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose. In consideration of the safety of all participants, I agree not to use any of the following while participating in this event: baby joggers, baby strollers, headphones, animals on leash, skateboards, inline or roller skates, or bicycles.
